We are very excited to bring to the public a special photographic exhibit as a tribute to Jorge Negrete in view of his birth-centennial to take place at La Paloma cultural center and marketplace. Jorge Negrete is one of Mexico's most beloved film stars who left a body of work with 44 films and a exemplary record as union activist, fighting for better rights and benefits for actors in Mexico. He died when travelling to Los Angeles to perform in 1953, but his memory is ever present. In addition to the exhibit a multimedia-presentation is being prepared about him, details soon to be announced.

We are preparing for our annual edition of the Three Wise Men Festival at MacArthur Park, going to our seventh round, bringing to the children and parents of the MacArthur Park community, books, gifts and toys with the help of sponsoring organizations and participating volunteers.
